Our 3d model of the River Nile

image

Today in Miss Pallister’s class we made a model of the River Nile which had buildings and animals. We learnt that it floods once a year, leaving fertile silt on the land for farmers to grow their crops. On two sides of Egypt, there is a barren desert so neighbouring armies can’t get to their land easily. Written by Katie and Eloise.

Dance Competition

A letter went home today about a Dance Competition, which is taking place at the end of February at the Priory City of Lincoln Academy. We are running a club twice a week to practise for it. It will be a great experience so please sign up if you can. All abilities are welcome!

Our very own museum!

We’ve started our Ancient Egyptian learning journey with a huge range of exciting activities! We opened our own museum, where we could become archeolgists and uncover hidden treasures, found out about how we can read hieroglyphics thanks to the Rosetta Stone, found images inside tombs, made scarab beetle amulets, created mummies and ‘cracked the code’ using our maths skills.
