In Year 4, we are creating a reading display to help inspire people to read different books. Can you think about your favourite book and choose one quote from it that you think will encourage other children to read it? We will be adding these to our reading display.
Have it ready by the first day of next term. You can comment here to record it.

Year 3 Easter Homework
Dear All,
Over the Easter break we would really like all of our children to master the times tables facts and the associated division facts.
This is only achieved with practise!
Children should be able to recall a fact within 5 seconds.
Use the grids attached and the ones sent home to practise.
These will be tested next term.
Good Luck!
Critical ICT!
Excellent Egyptian Experience
This afternoon, Y3/4 held their Egyptian Experience afternoon, to celebrate their work this term. We had Egyptian dancing, archeology, hieroglyph writing, making Egyptian jewellery, making mummification films and creating scarab beetles. The children did really well behaving as experts and showed how much they’ve learnt this term.
What a beautiful string orchestra
Delicious Science!
Great Glint of Gold!
Total eclipse of the …… sun
On Friday, we went outside to find out what happens during an eclipse. We knew it was dangerous to look at the sun so made special pin hole cards to watch the shape of the sun casting a shadow onto the playground. We measure temperature and light emissions too. The temperature dropped by 3 degrees while we were outside so we couldn’t wait for the sun to come out again!
It’s classified!

Keira and Josh’s odd and even platform game
Tilly and Elijahs odd and even game
Tom and Ayla’s odd and even game (platform)
We’ve been using our ICT skills to develop our own games. Here’s one we came up with today – can you play it? We tried to aim it at a Y1 child who is developing their understanding of odd and even numbers. What do you think to it?
