In Y4, we are beginning to write our own explanation text. Last week, we read lots of examples so that this week we can write one. We found out that they use temporal connectives, causal connectives, specialised vocabulary and are in logical order. Today, we watched ‘Cracking Contraptions’ to find out how the ‘Tellyscope’ works. We used drama to recreate each step, thinking about how to apply explanation text features verbally
It was hard to create the right shape or part of the contraption.
