Light Graffiti

Today, Y3/4 worked with Jonathan Turner, a photographer, to create ‘light graffiti’. We used music to inspire our own abstract images and then used torches with a long exposure camera to make them. It took a few attempts to master the techniques but were realy excited by what we learnt. Keep an eye out for the final pieces – we are going to display them as large prints at the Whisby exhibition later on this year!

Super Science!

In Year 4, we are very lucky to be working with Mr Harvey from St Peter and St Paul’s secondary school. It was very exciting! We explored how fruit can power a circuit and then tested oranges, lemons and limes to see which created the most power. We used a voltmeter for the first time! We can’t wait for lots of other exciting investigations over the term.
